The Vice President of Operations will be a strategic and operational leader responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s manufacturing and supply chain operations, with a particular emphasis on third-party manufacturing and co-manufacturer  relationships. This role drives cost-effective production, ensures product quality and compliance, and  champions continuous improvement across all operational processes. This role is critical partner in scaling the  organization and aligning operational capabilities with long-term growth objectives. 

Key Responsibilities 

Manage and optimize a high-performing network of co-manufacturers and third-party production  partners. 

Negotiate contracts, define performance expectations, and ensure consistent output across multiple  manufacturing partners. 

Define and execute the company’s manufacturing strategy in alignment with organizational goals. 

Evaluate and implement process improvements to increase throughput, reduce waste, and enhance  operational efficiency. 

Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure integrated planning and seamless execution across  procurement, finance, and commercial teams. 

Ensure all manufacturing operations (internal and external) meet or exceed quality assurance, food  safety, and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, OSHA, GMP). 

Ensuring cost effective freight/logistics and managing OTIF. 

Driving compliance with national and state-level registration and approvals. 

Lead change management initiatives to implement new systems and practices with minimal business  disruption. 

Qualifications 

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field (MBA  preferred). 

10+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, with significant exposure to third party/co-manufacturing environments. 

Proven leadership in scaling production through external partners while maintaining cost, quality, and  service levels. 

Strong negotiation skills and experience managing contractual relationships with external  manufacturing partners. 

Excellent communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
